Getting downloadable Files

You will need 2 programs to go with your downloads, an unzipping program like WinZip and Adobe Reader for PDF files. You can download and install them here. Both have free versions. WinZip calls theirs a trial. Just click on the logos below.

So I have downloaded some .zip files, PDF files and .exe files. Now just what do I do?

HINT:
Create a folder on your hard drive like "MMHT downloads" (without the quotes) and save all the files to that folder. When you want to open something it will be easy to find. You can even right click on the folder and create a shortcut to the folder so it is right there on your desktop.

To Unzip a file you should create a directory in your MMHT downloads folder and name it for the program that you downloaded.

When you open WinZip you will be asked if you agree, Click I Agree.

Next will be "Welcome to the WinZip Wizard", just Click Next.

You will get a popup screen asking if you want to add the folder-yada yada, just Click No.

You will see 3 radial buttons, make sure Unzip or install from "XXXX". Make sure this button is selected then Click Next.

Now you have a file destination "Selected folder". I usually "select different folder". Click that button bar and navigate to your MMHT downloads folder\folder for program (as explained above) and Click Unzip Now. You have the unzipped files in a place just for that program.

For .exe files just place them in a special folder for that particular program. Now all you need to do is Double Click the filename.exe to launch or install the ebook/program.

Double Click any PDF file and it will open in Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Just close this window when you finish. You will be back to the main page.
